Thank you for being a catechist. You are essential to the Church's mission to "make disciples of all nations" and for that reason, you need to be formed for that mission!

Steeped in the Dominican charism of truth and drawing from the teaching heritage of the Nashville Dominicans, our program strives to form catechists "in the heart and mind of the Church" by presenting the Catholic faith in a manner that is systematic, organic and beautiful. This Catechist Formation Program is open to any catechist wanting to increase their understanding of the Catholic Church.

Each course contains various Topics with videos the present the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (creed, sacraments, morality, prayer).  There is a Methods Topic to help learn, and discuss, methods to deliver these topics in the classroom.  Each Topic includes a set of activities that includes a handout, two to three videos (about twenty minutes each) and a knowledge inventory to measure your knowledge at the end of the Topic.  Each course concludes with a reflection paper and a completion certificate.  Each certificate is another step on the path to Catechetical certification.
